Break Free (“the App”) is a gamified habit and wellness companion designed to help you build better self-control. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the App. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have complete control over your personal data.
2. Data We Collect (Local Only)
Break Free is a local-first application built to respect your privacy:
Local Storage: All information you enter in the App (including habit names, journal/reflection entries, preferences, and leveling/gamification progress) is stored locally on your device using secure platform-native storage mechanisms.
No Cloud or Server Storage: We do not transmit, store, or process your habits, journal entries, or progress on any external cloud servers.
No Ad Tracking or Third-Party SDKs: The App does not contain third-party analytics, advertisements, or tracking SDKs. It is completely clean and runs entirely offline on your device.
3. Data Retention Policy
We believe that you own your data. Because all data is stored locally on your device:
We retain your data only as long as the App is installed on your device.
We do not have access to, nor do we store, any backups or historical records of your data on our systems.
4. Data Deletion & How to Delete Your Data
You have the absolute right to delete your data at any time. You can permanently delete all data collected by Break Free using any of the following methods:
Option A: In-App Reset
Navigate to the Settings screen in the App and tap "Reset All Progress". This will instantly and permanently erase all habits, streaks, level progress, and journal entries from your device's local memory.
Option B: Clear App Storage via System Settings
You can clear the app's cache and data through your device settings:
• Android: Settings > Apps > Break Free > Storage > Clear Data & Clear Cache.
• iOS: Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Break Free > Delete App.
Option C: Uninstall the App
Uninstalling the App from your device will automatically, immediately, and permanently delete all local data associated with the App.
Note: Once data is deleted using any of the methods above, it is permanently lost and cannot be recovered since we do not store any remote backups.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal data online, we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children.
